Our History

The seeds of a crisis pregnancy center in that would reach out to young women with God’s love and provide help with alternatives to abortion were planted when Carol Heberling shared her vision of a crisis pregnancy center in Taylorville at her church’s visioning session. She had heard about ministries like it on a Focus on the Family radio program.   Sharing the concern eventually led to pastors and members of area churches coming together in the form of a steering committee which ultimately led to the opening of Loving Arms Crisis Pregnancy Center on Mother’s Day in May of 1999.
